Located in the Southern Drakensberg just 30 km away from Underberg, Treadridge Self Catering Cottage is set on 4 hectares of natural Drakensberg Mountain terrain, on the border of the Drakensberg World Heritage Site.
With mountain views all around, Treadridge Self Catering Cottage is ideally situated within 5kms from Garden Castle Campsite (Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife) and offers a completely off grid holiday experience. Solar/inverter power and clean mountain borehole water is available at this self-catering cottage accommodation, so no load shedding interruptions here. The cottage has two fully equipped bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to 4 guests (plus 2 on a sleeper couch by prior arrangement).
It is a nonsmoking facility but smoking is permitted on the veranda outside. Holiday home amenities include a patio/veranda, BBQ/braai facilities, free under cover car parking, plus free Wi-Fi at the property. Facilities available at Treadridge Self Catering Cottage include a lounge, a dining room with table and 6 chairs, a fully equipped kitchen including a full gas stove and oven, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, and all equipment necessary for self-catering needs. Towels and bed linen are supplied at this accommodation. In addition, there is a flat-screen TV with dedicated DSTV and a cast iron fireplace in the living room with the first bag of firewood, fire starters and kindle supplied free as part of a welcome basket. Benches and seating spots are scattered around the property, allowing for relaxing sightseeing of all the mountain views and scenery. There is also a pond on the property to add a water element to your relaxation.
The nearby surroundings offer local sporting facilities (golf, tennis, swimming pools, river tubing etc.), restaurants and nature trails. These activities will need to be arranged by the guest with those relevant establishments prior to visiting them as they do not form part of Treadridge’s facilities/amenities. Use there of will be solely at the discretion and availability of those establishments.

What activities does Treadridge Self Catering Cottage offer?
You are welcome to enjoy the various seating spots on the property to view the mountains and spot the local birds and often the Eland, who come onto the property at times. We do have a small pond that the various birds love to spend the day at. However, no fishing or swimming is allowed in this pond. You can walk up our little mountain which is a 30 minute walk one way. This is not too strenuous.
There are many other activities in the nearby areas at other establishments so you will need to contact them directly to organize. We will supply you with those contact numbers. These include river tubing, horse riding, golf, tennis, restaurants and hikes.
