If you are looking for a lovely family outing with views, a Nature trail walk, a place to eat, a handcrafts shop to browse for simbergclay ceramics and other handcrafts, Paint on Clay activity for children and adults, watching dairy cows being hand milked and calves bottle fed, then a visit to the Giant’s Cup Café and Crafts ticks all the boxes.

The Art Gallery and Ceramic Studio showcase the creativity of local talent made by Simone of simbergclay (www.simbergclay.com) in the form of beautiful pottery made and decorated on site (unique water fountains, lamps, aromatherapy burners, vases, jugs, Teapots and sets, bowls, snack dishes, money banks, storage jars, mugs and cups) and paintings of  landscapes, flowers and animals.

‘Paint on Clay’ space is available for the whole family! Come and enjoy this wonderful activity whilst you enjoy a delicious Cappuccino paired with our signature cheesecake or a luncheon with local wines.

Organic dairy products made onsite from Simone and Russell’s fresh Jersey cow milk include cheese, cream cheese, feta, halloumi, youghurt, butter and icecream are available.

The fully licensed Cafe is open daily from 0730 hours to 2000 hours, a mere 50 metres from Sani Lodge and Self-catering Cottages  offering hearty breakfasts ( cooked or health), lunches (savoury pancakes, toasted sandwiches, cheese platter, soup), and three course dinners (starter, main and dessert) .

Enjoy mid-morning cappuccinos made from Fair Trade organic coffee beans paired with signature baked cheesecake using our farm cream cheese; and mid-afternoon tea with scones dressed in butter, our organic fruit jams, and farm cream or rich chocolate cake (weekends only).

Pair organic South African wines with your meals or enjoy a cocktail from the Phuzabooza bar before your dinner. As devotees of self-sufficiency, we aim to provide home cooked meals using our seasonal organic home-grown vegetables, fruits and dairy produce.

An indigenous plant greenhouse offers dozens of beautiful, environmentally friendly and water wise plants for your garden to attract birds.

Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome outdoors only.
