If you are looking for a lovely family outing with views and a place to eat or a place to purchase gifts for a loved one, a visit to the Giant’s Cup Café and Crafts offers you the opportunity to view the creativity of local talent in the form of original paintings of the Drakensberg landscapes, flowers or African animals, as well as handmade Ceramics by simbergclay created on site: examples being unique water fountains, lamps, vases, teapots, kitchenware, children’s pocket money jars, and even hippo soap dishes.
Simone creates all her items with love and care on her wheel. As a self-taught artist inspired by Nature, she hand paints the decorations on her ceramic pieces, making each one unique and one of its kind. Simone takes orders on request.

The shop sells a variety of other unique handcrafts that are proudly South African and support the ethical and sustainable sourcing of materials. These are made by individuals or small groups of people who have no other form of employment.
Organic dairy products made onsite from Simone and Russell’s fresh Jersey cow milk, and other South African organic products such as chocolate, coffee and tea are available for sale.

The Cafe is open daily from 0730 hours to 2000 hours, a mere 50 metres from Sani Lodge and Self-catering Cottages: offering hearty breakfasts; healthy lunches; three course dinners; mid-morning cappuccinos made from Fair Trade organic coffee beans paired with signature baked cheesecake using our farm cream cheese; and mid-afternoon tea with scones dressed in butter, our organic fruit jams, and farm cream.

Pair organic South African wines with your meals or enjoy a cocktail before your dinner. As devotees of self-sufficiency, we aim to provide home cooked meals using our seasonal organic home-grown vegetables and fruits as well as our cheese, butter, cream cheese, feta, halloumi, and ice-cream that we make from our fresh cow’s milk. We aim to use the best ingredients if we do not produce them ourselves out of season.

Stunning views with fresh mountain air and a Nature Trail for the whole family will invigorate and recharge one’s mind and body.
