Clearbrook Cottage, Riverlea Farm

Clearbrook Cottage, on Riverlea Farm, is fully equipped for self-catering. The cottage has four spacious double/twin en-suite bedrooms with queen and/or twin beds (sleeping nine comfortably), a cosy lounge with a large fireplace, and an open plan kitchen and dining area.  The bedrooms are large enough for extra mattresses if needed.

The cottage is equipped with a UPS unit to keep the lights on during loadshedding and cooking facilities include gas, electric and braais. 

Linen and towels are all provided. The cottage is serviced in the mornings. Each bedroom in the house faces the magnificent berg as do the living areas.

Clearbrook Cottage opens onto a lawn situated on the shore of Hesketh Dam, with spectacular views of the berg across the water. The setting is peaceful and private. The dam is stocked with trout for fly fishing and bass are active during the warmer months and can be caught readily in summer, just off the jetty.

We have six kilometres of the Umzimkhulu River for fly-fishing, on a seasonal basis; as well as a number of stocked dams on Riverlea Farm. Clearbrook Cottage is situated alongside a Protected Area of 130Ha, which offers superb birdwatching opportunities. The farm also hosts the  Mzimkulu Vulture Hide – saveourvultures.com which is well worth a visit (bookings via the website are essential).  

We are located just 2km along the Bushman’s Nek road, altogether only 8km from Underberg.
